Julius Jones will be running back for Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have announced that they have signed their second free agent running back player in one week and it is Julius Jones who follows Duckett as their second running back. Jones is said to have signed a multi-year contract with the Seahawks on Monday. Jones has played for the Dallas Cowboys throughout his four NFL seasons and has started in 32 consecutive games for the Dallas team over a period of two years. His career records in NFL stands at 51 starts in his 53 career games and has carried the ball 885 times covering a distance of 3,484 yards and in the process has achieved 18 touchdowns as well.

Jones best season in the NFL was the 2006 season where he amazed 1,084 yards on 267 carries. He did not miss any start in the 2006 and 2007 season after not starting in 11 games in his first two years with the Cowboys. As a matter of fact, Jones has played the best of his games in his career for the Cowboys against his new team, the Seattle Seahawks. He played college football in Notre Dame and was one among four running backs in the history of school football to have more than 3,000 career yards. His elder brother Thomas is also a running back and he plays for the New York Jets.

Former Seahawks Quarterback Warren Moon To Go To Court In February

Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback and 2006 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Warren Moon has again been charged with driving while intoxicated, while driving through the town of Kirkland in the early hours of December 28th for speeding. Moon was pulled over by Trooper Stewart after an extended amount of time waiting for Moon to stop the vehicle. The smell of intoxicating substances was evident inside the vehicle. Upon further investigation, Trooper Stewart arrested Moon for a suspected DUI. Moon refused to take a breathalyzer test. This will be his second arrest for intoxicated driving in eight months. His earlier arrest was in April of 2007. Although his breathalyzer results were under the normal limits for intoxication, he was arrested anyway.  Moon entered a plea of guilty for this charge and received a $350 fine and forty hours of community service. Also, included in the sentence was the requirement that he attends alcohol and drug awareness training. It is expected that he will also enter a guilty plea although it is not clear what penalty he might receive from the court for this second offense. Warren Moon was not only recognized for his talents in American football. He is also known for his Canadian football career.
