The New York Giants are determined to make it a worthy outing this NFL season as they are currently on a signing spree and the latest player to have received a six year extension is their guard Chris Snee. The signing of Chris Snee will give the much needed boost to the Giants offensive line up and it is reported that a whopping sum of $43.5 million is the contract amount agreed upon by both parties. The stacks are high as far as Giants are concerned as they are the worthy NFL champions last season and are making all efforts to repeat the feat this season as well. Chris Snee will be contracted to the Giants till 2014. There will be brisk sales of tickets for Giants home games when the fans hear this news.

The former offensive tackle of Oakland Raiders Barry Sims signed a two year deal with the San Francisco 49ers last Monday and the financial dealings were not disclosed by both the parties. The agent of Sims, Ken Vierra, said that Sims is very much happy to be playing for the 49ers and really liked San Francisco. The 49ers are happy to sign the deal with Sims and are hoping that his inclusion will bring in more laurels to them. Sims is a regular starter for the Oakland Raiders during the past five football seasons and his experience will come in handy for the 49ers. The fans are eagerly waiting for the ticket sales to commence. 

The linebacker of Tennessee Titans Ryan Fowler is the new person whose name has been doing rounds in the NFL circuit with allegations of consumption of performance enhancing drugs or steroids, which the player has called as a baseless allegation. Fowler is at present practicing in the Titans minicamp and he feels that the matter will be sorted out soon and will come out as an innocent person in this allegation drama. He said that he has been holding a clean chit so far in the NFL and is determined showcase his football skills to his fans this forthcoming season. Fowler will have to face suspension until the case is solved. Fowler fans will be hoping that the tickets they bought in anticipation of seeing their star player play will not go to waste.

The Oakland Raiders football receiver Javon Walker is expected to be back in action for his team during the training sessions after nursing from facial injuries that he sustained last weekend in a robbery attempt in Las Vegas. The coach of the Raiders Lane Kiffin said that Walker would be attending the training session of the Raiders in Napa on July 25. The Raiders are banking on Walker to provide the much needed impetus to the team this 2008 NFL season. The former Packers player who had signed a six year contract with the Raiders will not be exposed to the media when he attends the final day workout sessions. The NFL fans are booking their tickets to their favorite team’s games in order to avoid last minute disappointments.

The Seattle Seahawks Coach Mike Holmgren was seen with his boys on Thursday at the minicamp after a mini surgery forced him to stay away from the camp for a couple of days. There were no details revealed about the surgery, but coach Mike said that he was ready for the grueling season ahead and expected his team to perform well in the forthcoming football season. Holmgren is expecting all his players to fully utilize the minicamp practice sessions so that they will be ready for battle once the NFL season begins. There have been media reports circulating about the Dallas Cowboys WR football player Terrell Owens missing the random drug test conducted by NFL a few weeks ago and when contacted Owens said that the problem occurred due to an error involving mobile phone numbers. It is reported that Owens had given his agent’s number as the primary contact number to the performance enhancing drug testers and the alternative number given to the testers led them to an overflowing voice mail box. Terrell Owens, in his defense, told the media that he had long discussions with the NFL officials and has agreed to co-operate with them in this matter. Terrell’s fans are waiting patiently with their tickets for the NFL season to begin. 

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team will not be able to field free agent tight end Jerramy Stevens for the first two games of the new season as he has been suspended by NFL in violation of the NFL drug abuse policy. Jerramy Stevens was picked up by the Bucs’ in April following his release from the Seattle Seahawks after his arrest for possession of marijuana. The Bucs’ fans were very much excited by the prospect of Stevens joining the team and his suspension might cause a dent in the ticket sales for the first two games of the upcoming season.
